The photos I have uploaded were given to my mother by my uncle. They were my uncle's first wife's fathers photos, whose name was Edward Madden. There are 500+ photos, some excellent quality, some not. But each has its own story behind it. They are all from WWII, most in the Philippines. Ed Madden was stationed on the USS LST 757. He captured many photos of life on the LST, as well as shots of the Japanese surrender, and images from the battlefront. There are many photos from Milan, the Philippines capital, and the natives on the Philippines.
My family has had these photos for some years now, but recently my sister Kate told me to start scanning and uploading them, so here I am. Without her persuasion, these photos could still be sitting in a box on a shelf.
